Based on our review of your medical records, and on your medical diagnosis, we will assess your personalized treatment plan during your first visit and provide an overview of expected outcomes. Do you use supplements?

What are the conditions you treat?
We treat digestive and gut issues (such as irritable bowel syndromes, bloating, inflammatory bowel disease, acid reflux, food allergies, eosinophilic esophagitis, SIBO), diabetes, hypertension, eczema, sleep disorders, and autoimmune conditions (such as thyroid disorders, multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and others). We also treat Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and other neurodegenerative diseases.
How long are the treatments?
They vary from 6 months to 12-18 months depending on the progression of the disease and your personal response to the treatments (responses may vary from person to person).
What is Functional Medicine?
An innovative and scientific approach that targets the root cause of a disease, using natural treatments and lifestyle changes to help reverse chronic disease.
Do you offer a free consultation?
Yes, we offer one free 30-minute consultation.
Do you take anyone into your telemedicine practice?
We are accepting only California residents at this time.
Do you offer health coaching packages?
Yes, we do. For our health coaching program, you can be a resident of any state. Note that for health coaching, Dr. Murali will not be in the capacity of a physician, so there will be no doctor-patient relationship. She will strictly work with you as a health coach.
How should I prepare for my free consultation call?
Have a list of your medications and your diagnosis available. Be ready to answer questions about the problems and symptoms associated with your illness that you experience.
Do I still need to have a primary care physician?
Yes, it is very important to keep your primary care physician. Dr. Murali’s functional medicine visits are complimentary to allopathic medicine, from an integrative point of view. Most of our counseling involves lifestyle changes based on your personal assessment. It is also important to keep your insurance, as we are not a substitute for it.
Does Dr. Murali prescribe refills on medications?
No, we do not prescribe refills. You need to receive your prescribed medications from your primary care physician.
How will she monitor my treatments and medications?
She will be in touch with your doctor to let them know that we will be titrating the doses of your medications based on our dietary program. It is also your responsibility to inform your doctor of any changes your are making based on our assessments to your diet, exercise, and other lifestyle changes.
Will I get better soon?
Functional medicine is a total systems approach, using the body and mind connection. To change your cellular health, optimize your brain health, and hormones, and other systems take time. We are not a quick-fix superficial solution. We are striving to make remarkable changes. Most patients come to us with multiple diagnoses, medications, needs vary from patient to patient and so do the responses. It is possible sometimes as you get better to have setbacks in your treatments, as we are adjusting your diet periodically. Our goal is to eventually get to the best possible health.
